Well this one was never in doubt as the new Willis order opened the season in style. Howie was so afraid of the nWo that it decided to spare itself humiliation and forfeited the game. Probably a good move on Howie's part because they were able to keep their dignity. As far as the new Willis order went, it was an anticlimatic commencing to say the least. But alas, a win is a win is a win.

new Willis order 54, Bee-Gees 31

In what would be the greatest hustle () job in the history of sports, the new Willis order pulled a little trickery and stunned the ill-prepared Bee-Gees. Feeding off the emotion of the electrifying opening day ceremonies, the new Willis order shook off the rust, took control early and never looked back. Although the nWo strayed from the classic willis-style-ball, it was hardly necessary as the outcome was never in doubt. As much as the BeeGees tried to 'stay alive', it was not to be as the nWo played a total team game to improve to 2-0.

This game had trouble written all over it from the very beginning. Starting the game with a grand total of just six willises, the new Willis order would have it's work cut out for it. Focused and determined, the nWo showed poise and control early during the crucial first ten minutes. With the focus on conserving energy, defense and ball control were a priority, hardly willis-style-ball. But the nWo was up to the challenge and held a lead until the arrival of several other willises. And then what was a relatively close game turned into a laugher. Still shorthanded, the new Willis order showed tremendous heart as they were asked to play extra minutes and play out of position as well. The nWo overcame this adversity to shine brighter than ever before.

The Moonies 57, new Willis order 40

The nWo suffered its first and only defeat of the season at the hands of the mighty Moonies. Falling behind early, the new Willis order fought back. But this was not to be a good night for the nWo. Absolutely nothing fell. And to make matters worse, the Moonies hit a barrage of three pointers. It was just one of those days. But it was a learning experience. A game that would make the new Willis order that much better.
